So when you find this room, take a few minutes to scan a couple QR codes to see what you access.īecause of the nature of Meow Wolf Denver, you’ll likely be touching a lot of different things. They were links to articles about nature, animals, sounds and more. Have you ever scanned a QR code just because it was there? We found a wall with several QR codes (like 100+) and we each started scanning a few. I would bet that 75% of the people who visit Meow Wolf never knew there was a room there. But if you find the wall panel where someone would purchase laundry soap, pull it and the panel will open, revealing a hidden room. You’ll see things spinning in the “washing machines” on the wall. One of the rooms you’ll walk through is a laundromat. The heads don’t pop up when hit, but it’s still fun to see how skilled you are with a controller. Each person can use a controller to try and beat up the other rat. If you’re familiar with Rock Em, Sock Em Robots, then you’ll want to track down the arcade-style game where two rats are sword fighting. But this one is still fun and can disorient you a little as you explore it. My favorite one – mainly because of its size and the fact that I was lost in it for a while – was at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. During our two-hour tour along the Quantum highways, we found a few areas that no one should miss on their journey – the trick will be finding those areas in the maze of intertwined pathways. He seemed to do okay, but there were some small spaces he probably wished we hadn’t ventured into. One of the members in our group told us later that he was claustrophobic. It’s YOUR journey through the worlds, so enjoy.Ī Few Things You Don’t Want to Miss at Meow Wolf Denver You can revisit areas you enjoyed or walk quickly through areas that don’t interest you. You can go left, right, up the stairs, down the stairs and all around. There is now “right” path to explore as you wander through Meow Wolf Denver. Each world is unique in its own way and you’ll be surprised at the unique things you’ll find along your journey. In Denver, it’s a convergence of four alien worlds you travel between, courtesy of the Quantum Department of Transportation. WHAT’S THE STORY?Įach Meow Wolf exhibit has its own story. The elevator does NOT take you back down to the main level, so you’ll have to find the stairs after you’ve wandered through all the floors and found all the hidden rooms. The elevator door man will ensure you get off at the one and only stop it makes after leaving – the fourth floor. □Īfter getting inside the building and checking any bags or coats in the Coat Check area, you’re free to take the elevator up to the fourth floor of the venue. They can drive you directly to the venue, you don’t have to worry about parking, nor do you have to worry about walking under an overpass at night with a homeless camp on the other side of the road. The best option – in my opinion – is to take an UBER or Lyft to Meow Wolf Denver. On NFL game days, no parking is available at the venue. You can pay at one of the kiosks in the front lot or the QR code on the A-Frames in the backside lot. Parking is available at Meow Wolf Denver for $15 per day and is a first come, first serve option. It’s well lit, so even at night we didn’t feel unsafe. Just note that as you walk under the overpass, there are a few tents setup on the non-sidewalk side of the road where people camp. The E Line or the W Line will take you to the Empower Field at Mile High Station, with Meow Wolf Denver being a short 0.3 mile walk – which is doable. If you’re taking public transit from downtown Denver, I recommend taking the light rail from Union Station. But we learned a few better options that I’ll share with you to save you time and mileage on your feet. So we walked an additional 0.5 miles to get off the overpass, then then 0.5 miles back to the museum. But when we arrived at the museum, we were on an overpass with no way to get down to ground level. In short, the Apple maps app had us take a bus most of the way there, then walk what was supposed to be 0.5 miles. Our experience in getting to Meow Wolf Denver was super frustrating.
